In Windows 10 or 11 Settings, go to System > Sound > Output.
If there is no output device, then Musescore 4 will briefly display the "loading" box and then disappear.
In my case, adding an output device (such as headphones) enabled Musescore 4 to start.

Sure, from https://musescore.org/en/download#older-versions
The same thing happens to me. I have an HP LAPTOP-HOLR0JLJ, running Windows 11 Home, version 22H2. Previously I was using version 3 of Muse Score and it gave no problems. I also tried uninstalling version 3 and uninstalling and reinstalling version 4 but the problem persists exactly as described above: when I try to launch musescore 4 it displays loading screen for few seconds and then disappear. I use an external audio interface Behringer UMC 204HD.

I have seen some cases where MS4 wouldn't start because of audio device settings. Before trying to start MS4 try some of the settings in the latter part of this "How To": https://musescore.org/en/node/339915
On W11 you might need to open Control Panel. Then select "Sound". Then follow the instructions. Uncheck "Exclusive Mode" and lowering the bit rate really seem to help. Once MS4 opens, you can make other adjustments.
