MS 4: Chords
Hello,
in MS3 I wrote Chords with Crtl+k all Types with (t) for maj-Chords and move to the next Note with spacebar, to the next measure with Tab.
In MS4 I can write Chords with Crtl+k but only Basic Chords with one Letter. No numbers are accept no shortcuts like t. I can't move vom one Note to the other or to the next measure.
If I import a file from MS3 the view on all Chords is correct.
All the best

Works for me, like ct7. Space works too, beat to beat

I load the same file today and it works, except the jump to the next measure with Tab.
I don't know why.
Thanks for the quick reply.

And on a Mac, is that cmd+Right or Ctl+Right? I'm on 10.15.7 and neither do anything (or space for that matter).

Sorry, space works but I can't go to the beginning of the next bar

So THAT'S the secret! Next. . . must figure out what replaced the bar for advancing to somewhere in the same measure.
The online Help guide still says to use the key to advance to next measure.

Hello, how to move to next BAR writing Chords on Mac? In MS3 it was Tab. That doesn't work anymore.
And besides that: HOW can I browse ONLY the MS4 documentation?
Thanks!

Should be cmd+Right

I found this too but it continues to never work on my Mac. I reload the score and it still doesn't work, neither the CMD+right arrow or the 7 option to go forward a whole note, or any length of note for that matter. And unfortunately, in the shortcut menu, there's no action for "advance cursor to next measure" during chord input that I could assign it's own shortcut, tho it seems to be included in "go to next measure," which works for note navigation, but not in chord entry mode.

I have the same problem on MAC. Neither CTL+R nor CMD+R work (I've also tried all combinations with also shift, Fn and option, but no luck). I hope to get a solution soon as it's hard work using space bar all the time.

Same issue on Mac. I hop there will be al sollution soon, because it is not comfortable with the spacebar jumping to the next note.

Thank YOU! Would be great to have this information in MS4 manual. I searched long for this.
Is it possible ONLY to search in MS4-manual. Many of my request led me to manuel3.

See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/full-table-contents
I have the exact same issue.
Actually "tab" does nothing, but if I then press space again it wants to change my "work space" (not sure how it's called in English. German is: "Arbeitsplatz"). I suspect tab shifts to some other functionality outside of chord symbols.
At least shift/space lets me go back a beat.
That this functionality is missing is quite annoying.
I have the same problem after installing the latest update 4.0.1.
The TAB and the Space don't work when inserting chords.

Etienne

Tab is now Ctrl+Right
Space should work though

Ok. Thanks.
For what I need Musescore I think I will stay with version 3.6.2.
I suppose that the use of Ctrl+Right instead of TAB is not a bug, and will not be 'fixed' in the next release.

Indeed, it is by design

Both Musescore 3.6.2 and Musescore 4.1 are installed on my PC.
I will verify the difference and see what version I will use.
Another feature that I cannot find back in version 4.1 is the View - Zoom In !
Does that xtill exist ?

I don't think you really have 4.1, but 4.0.1
