When trying to load Musescore 4 while my system is set to use my external speakers (Sound Blaster AE-9), the program will not load. The loading screen pops up for a couple of seconds and then disappears without the program loading. Problem is not present if using the PC audio. Problem is persistent even if Musescore/Musehub is uninstalled and reinstalled All drivers are up to date, and looking online it appears multiple other users are having the same issue, so this appears to definitely be an issue with the current release of Musescore 4.

Can you try changing the device settings, such as reducing the sample rate to 48 or 44.1 kHZ if it is currently higher? Also try a nightly build of 4.02 to see if the issue is already fixed there (see Download menu above).

Apologies for the delayed response. Reducing the sample rate does not work. The same issue occurs when using the nightly build.
EDIT - tried changing the device settings from a different menu (sigh). Decreasing the sampling rate worked.
Best to ask for hekp on the Support forum, where many more people will be able to see and assist. This issue tracker is now obsolete and not used anymore.
