Muse Sounds unavailable in MuseScore 4
I've installed Muse Hub, and MuseScore 4.1.1 directly from Muse Hub. I've also installed all the Muse Sounds packs (except for choir).
However, when I try to enter the MuseScore mixer, none of the Muse Sounds appear. I tried various methods in various threads related to mine, including restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling MuseHub, MuseScore, and Muse Sounds, and doing all of those in different orders.
Extra information:
- OS: Windows 10 19045.3448.
- Sound install location: C:\ProgramData\MuseHub\Downloads
- Inside MuseScore, going to View > Playback setup does show "Muse Sounds", but it is greyed out and I cannot select it.
- Inside MuseScore, going to Diagnostic > Muse Sampler > Check Muse Sampler reports "Muse Sampler library is not found."
- The C:\ProgramData\MuseHub\Downloads\Installers folder is empty. Some threads I read suggested finding a MuseSamplerCoreLib.zip file there, but I have nothing.
I can't wait to hear Muse Sounds play my music, it's a blessing..

Is there anything in the instruments folder?
Re-install seldom fixes anything. That's because un-install doesn't get rid of everything. I might be tempted to delete the MuseHub folder and run the hub to see what happens. If nothing works then un-install the Hub. But either run a good Registry cleaner or search the drive for and un-install anything having to do with the Hub. Then re-install.

Yes, all of the Muse Sounds I downloaded are indeed in the Instruments folder. I tried to uninstall Muse Hub with Revo Uninstaller, which also finds and removes related registry keys, but sadly reinstalling Muse Hub again still does not solve any of the problems.

I'm wondering if I just need the MuseSamplerCoreLib.zip downloaded from somewhere? I'm referring to this thread: https://musescore.org/en/node/337098, where the solution simply involves downloading that file from somewhere.

I have less than no idea if this will work for you. Attached is the file in question. It is from my computer. You should look in (C:)>Windows>System 32 (which is where I got this) and see if it is there already. Go to that folder and run a search for "muse" .
If not, it might take admin rights to install the extracted dll in in System 32. It is not in my bin folder as that thread suggests. I wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to try it. things are not very clear.
I zipped the file so I could post it. It is not zipped in my system.

Ah, downloading and extracting your file fixed everything! I also looked in System32 afterwards and indeed there was a MuseSamplerCoreLib.dll file, which also worked fine. Thanks for the help!

Did you put it in the bin folder? If so, I wonder why it worked. There isn't one in my bin folder.
But, at least it is working for you.

Yes, I put the .dll in C:\Program Files\MuseScore 4\bin, and relaunching MuseScore 4 immediately resolved the issue!

The new MuseHub Update gave me the same problem, I did what you did and extracting the file into the MuseScore4 bin fixed my file migration issue! Not sure why it happened. Maybe a file issue with the new updates?
