"This score is invalid"
I saved a score online and now once I try to open it it prompts me with said error. I've already checked backups and cloud saves unto no avail.

That's great!
In order for someone to assist, you would need to attach the score. Since you say you saved it online, either download it from musescore..com directly, or get the local copy in AppData/Local/MuseScore/MuseScore4/cloud_scores
