MIDI files do not work properly when copy pasting notes from other instruments to another
For example - i copy paste notes from the violin part of an instrument into the piano - and remove the violin part. All looks fine on musescore, but when i export to midi, it plays the violin instead of the piano , even if there are no violin notes. How do i fix this...?

I do not know if this is a bug - or if this is a knowledge issue. Please clarify on how to resolve it is indeed a knowledge issue.

The before one is the unaltered - the test1 is the one where i exported as midi file after removing every note and replacing with piano.
Test after is the mscz file of that midi.

I exported your before file as midi. When I play it the first note of the beginning piano is piano. Then it switches to violin. Don't know why yet.

I created a new piano score and copied your piano part into it. Then I exported that as Midi. That midi file played properly. I added a new piano staff to your score and deleted the original piano part. Then I copied the piano part I had made back into your score and exported as MIDI. But the same thing happened. Sound switched to violin after the first note. I don't have any wat to inspect midi files. But there seems to be a problem with it.
Except that when I open the MIDI file I just created in MU4. it plays properly.

On this forum there are only users like you and me, nobody from MuseScore itself.
If you have found a way to reproduce your issue from scratch in a new file then you can open an issue on github where the MuseScore can see it.

im not tech savvy enough to know how github works. i invite anyone who is and has the time to do so, thought. i would be incredibly grateful

Don't worry, you don't have to be tech savvy. You just have to know the steps to reproduce the problem. Without the "Steps to reproduce", the developers have no chance of solving the problem.
First you need to sign up for a free account on Github:
https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues
Then you click the "New Issue" button, which takes you here:
https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/new/choose
Then you choose the "Get started" button for a "Bug report", and fill in the form with the information needed to identify the fault and to create the steps to reproduce the problem. And if you can attach a sample score, that's often helpful too.
