Direct Dorico Compatibility?

Please try to make it capable of importing these. I use Dorico for iPad and it’s pretty close second to musescore. But using musicxml and fixing everything is a lot of work thanks!

As long as (and if) the Doricio format is proprietary (not Open Source) this won't be possible (without a lot of reverse engineering)

Ok. I love it’s engraving though, and I wish I could publish music directly from Dorico to a website like musescore.com.

I think that even if you could import Dorico files into MU4, they would still look like MU4 files. Not Dorico.

Of course. But it’s a lot of work fixing all the detail lost in the musicxml transfer.

I have several Sibelius files that I convert. There are some problems, but not alot. Does Dorico expert both kinds of xml?

both kinds of xml ??
.xml and .musicxml is exactly the same, content wise, and .mxl is the same too, just in a ZIP achive

But the question remains. For example. Sibelius will export both compressed and uncompressed. MU4 will open them both. However, Sibelius will not open both formats from MU4. Not important, I know.

Dorico exports .mxl. Does that make any difference in detail/resolution of the file compared to the original?
