Guitar Fretboard Diagram Tweaks
I often end up creating mini exercises for guitar like this. A few issues from my perspective:
1) I need to add fretboard dots (currently use massive text full stops greyed out!)
2) I can't add 0 (open string) and dots on fretboard at the same time (I current just add massive text O)
3) The current implementation of the open string note uses a different sized larger circle that is not directly attached to the fretboard diagram (current I don't use open string fretboard diagram and just use massive text O)

I'd like to have a way in MuseScore to create horizontal fretboard scale diagrams like the one in your image.

It's fixed in MS 4.1 but it's a bit tricky to find where the Orientation setting is:

Please re-open this. The request wasn't just for orientation of the fretboard diagram. It was for the ability to put multiple notes on a string so you can create a scale diagram

"It was for the ability to put multiple notes on a string so you can create a scale diagram"
Well, already possible by ticking "Multiple dots" in Properties panel
