reducing spaces between systems on last page
How do I reduce the space between systems on the last page (see attached png)? It just looks silly with such a big space. But there isn't enough space on the other pages to force the music on to 4 pages rather than 5. (I've been messing with 'stave spacers' but they don't seem to help.) Thank you.

There might be an actual setting for this somewhere ot It might be OK by ticking [Format >Style >Page Disable vertical justification of staves] or by adding an invisible frame at the end. Try these but post the score if you're having no luck so that others can experiment. for you.

Hello, disabling the vertical justification of staves actually works well! Thank you.

Indeed, although I'm sure in the old days you could manually drag a system up, to decrease the width. But I may have been imagining that!

When I try, either a "staff spacer down" or a "staff spacer fixed down" (I don't understand the difference???) works to force those last systems up too.

Staff properties, extra space above stave?

OP wanted to reduce space above stave. When I try to set that value to a negative number, it doesn't seem to affect the space above the stave at all ???

Then use a fixed spacer and reduce its lenght
Actually that's the difference between a spaced and a fixed spacer, one specifies a minimum distance, the other an exact distance

I've inserted a 'stave spacer fixed down' on the bottom line of the first system and used that to drag the last system upwards. It worked really well.
Just read through the comments. Did anyone actually provide an answer?
I am currently working with attached.
I'd like to increase the space between the 2 systems. Is it possible?
Surely musescore provides a way to easily increase or decrease that space

Click on the bottom stave of a system/stave, then go to: palettes - layout - stave spacer fixed down. You can then drag that spacer, using the bottom anchor point, to adjust the distance between systems.
That’s what I did anyway, in MuseScore 4.

There isn't an answer. The solution depends on a) what is in your score, b) what you want it to look like.
So for more detailed help I suggest you start a new thread, attach your score (the .mscz file, not a picture) and explain what you want to achieve.

Taking your score I have added a fixed down spacer via the process I indicated earlier. See attached. When you click on the lower anchor point you can move it up and down, at least in MuseScore 4. I'm learning as I go along too. But this might be of help.
