It still is not clear to me: will those 3rd party libraries eventually be available for Linux?

I just bought the spitfire brass and it works with the current release and nightly portable just fine. Not sure I like it yet, though.

I just bought the Berlin String Section and it's not showing up. But it should work on Linux then?! I can't find any reliable information on that in the internet.

Just so you know there are many of us who never get a response from MuseSounds—other than a generic reply like, "Your issue is important to us."
That level of customer support is bad enough, but of the MuseScounds libraries I want to use, hardly any sound good for my purposes or perform without glitching out. I get sputtering, surprising timbre changes, unexpected gaps, surprising note fade ins (of the the first note of playback, and frequently triggered by score symbols, like a trill with it's Play property turned off). And to top it off, occasionally I hear noises like a cough or door shutting in the background.
And then we have Mixer plugins with no documentation.
Hopefully v4.6 and beyond bring a higher level of integrity between MuseScore and MuseSounds. Mostly I have to export to MIDI and import that to my DAW.

No, it will not work on Linux.

Ah, okay thanks.
I think the MuseSound Samples are pretty good and I can live with them, but it would have been nice to have some options on Linux.
I don't exactly get why it is so complicated to make these alternatives also available for Linux systems. Maybe if it would be tried, it would turn out that there is also a "market" on the Linux side of things.

But the Linux version also doesn't support vsts right now, so this is also coming for windows and Mac users I guess.

Se per https://musescore.org/en/node/380549#comment-1305525 Cantai won't come for Linux

Linux vst will be supported in version 4.6.
Commercial Muse Hub products will not (never) come to Linux, for reasons explained in the link. (make of that what you will)
Cantai for Musescore is not a vst.
