Musescore 4.4+ is asking me to install microsoft netcore app 8.0.0 (64)
hi I just opened the Musescore 4 app onb my PC and i get this message:
Now I didn't click on the link but did a search on the download and McAfee reports itas a trojan and Malwarebytes has had a bit of tizzy over the file.
I went direct to the Microsoft website to download via this link:
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/thank-you/sdk-8.0.40…
Anyone know why this has suddenly reared its ugly head?
DO MOT CLICK ON THE LICK IN THE MESSAGE THAT POPS UP.
If you are unsure about the link i have posted then search Microsoft for
.NET 8.0 SDK and there is a version for windows, mac and Linux. Be careful out there!
Regards
David

Installing the correct file seems to have worked.
That link is only for Visual Studio.
DotNet is updated by Windows Updates automatically.
There is no Muse.exe at least in Windows.

Look at the posted image.
Yes, Muse Hub exists.
