complaint
hi, I started a transcription of a piece and when I saved and closed the studio after a few minutes it doesnt want to open the transcription because it says that the document is damaged and all my progress is lost. I am realy frustrated and pls can you help me. Thank you in advance!

I understand your frustration. But please attach this .mscz file so we can tell you how badly it is damaged, or if it can be recovered. Otherwise, we cannot say anything or know what happened.

well I saved it and my computer shuted down so maybe thats the reason. no worrys I will start again

Shuted down how? Due to the battery (if laptop) or power outage, or something else?

battery yea. thats why I tryed to save it fast but I guess it didnt work.

For future reference, here's how I save my work to avoid this kind of situation.
When I create the new file, before I even enter a note, I use Save As to save it as My Score File-0-00.mscz. A short time later, I save it as My Score File-0-01.mscz. Then as My Score File-0-02.mscz still later. And so on.
Depending on how many staves my score has, I save it every system or two, each time with a new number. That way, if the problem you described happens (and it has), I only lose a few minutes of work rather than many hours.
