Poet
During the creation of a score, could we label what is listed as 'Poet' and change it to 'Words'? It covers all bases depending on the content (spoken or sung, etc).
I think in the previous version, it was called 'Lyrics'.

An additional suggestion would be to have:
'Words by/Music by' above the names.

Composer is listed 1st.
Different, but see: http://musescore.org/en/node/7760

Fair enough about composer being first :)
Opinions?
In the current 0.9.6.3 stable the new score wizard uses the word "Lyricist" not "Poet".
In the new score wizard MuseScore is asking for who wrote the words, not the words themselves. I think it would be confusing to change the label to "Words".

On the Mac version, the New Score Wizard says composer, then poet.
Maybe it's different for Windows?

I see. It looks like it was changed to "Lyricist" for US English.

Lyricist would be better.
Regards,
I believe it was lyricist before, but there was a change to poet in one of the last versions.
Like yourselves, I prefer lyricist.
Is this language preference in MuseScore, David?

You can specify your language preference in MuseScore via Edit > Preferences (Mac: MuseScore > Preferences)

I changed it to English US, but there's no difference.
I'd like it if were to show as lyricist in all English-language versions.

You have to restart MuseScore after you change the language.

Thanks - worked. I had done, but maybe I hadn't waited long enough to start it again.
However, can lyricist be implemented in all versions?
