Transposer instrument function

• Sep 21, 2015 - 22:10

Is it possible to have a select bar to change tonality of instruments from C to Bb, F, A ...etc... to make easy printing specific sheet for that instruments?
Is it possible to have an arranger wizard with few stiles (eg. Rock, Pop, ... ,Classic)?
(the program I use is off production and very aged 2004!!)

MuseScore provides many methods for transposition, including Notes / Transpose, the Concert Pitch button, the ability to change isntruments for a staff via right click / Staff Properties, etc.

And there are quite a few templates available when you create a new score, including several jazz & rock and a large numebr of classical ensembles.

Many thanks for your reply Marc,
I've seen transposition function on musescore, it's very good and works well, but a simply selection of the tonality maybe make the difference, 2 to print single instrument sheet starting from a complete score... and reduce to zero the errors... with musescore powerful notation

While this makes the program less beautiful, it could be expected as a downloadable plugin (you can monitor users about this...)

I think using Staff Properties to simply specify that the instrument is, say, a Bb Clarinet or an Eb Alto Sax should be what you need.

EDIT: Upon looking at your screenshot (sorry I didn't do that first!), I'm happy to tell you that the exact same thing is indeed in Staff Properties:
