Am I able to 'search' for a specific note in a score? (E.g. every 'C' in the score)

• Dec 9, 2015 - 02:56

I am writing in a scale that requires every C note to be a C# but I fear there may have been times when I forgot to add the sharp, it will be very difficult and time consuming to identify and fix any and every mistake I have made in this way, so is it at all possible to search for every C note, where they are highlighted or SOMEthing?
I couldn't put the C# in the key signature at the start of the piece because it is in D Harmonic Minor so I had to have the B flat in the key signature, hence having to manually make every C a C#.
Thanks in advance all!

Whiole indeed people have experimented weith such key signature for highly unusual music, you should *not* do such a thing for the ordinary harmonic minor. The vast majority of people have never seen such key signatures and are used to the standard key signatures only and would do a terrible job of reading the music if you tried using such a custom signature. Only trained experts in expertimental or ethnic music would be likely to welcome such notation. The rest of us would expect to see standard key signatures and accidentals.

Easy way to find the wrong notes is to listen to the playback. You can also watch the Piano Keybaord window (see View menu).
