More repeat issues
Would someone mind taking a look at the attached file? I can’t get the repeats/voltas to work correctly. I think I have the voltas edited correctly, but I could easily be mistaken.
BTW, I am running MuseScore 1.0 under Windows 7.

I can't open this on MuseScore 1.0 (Mac 10.4.11). Can any users tell me if this open-able on 1.0?

It opened without problem on V1.0 XP Home
I don't know what problems you're having with it Bill but it misbehaved for me too. The first section repeated 3 times (or maybe even 4) and the last section didn't repeat at all. The other repeats all worked properly. I don't have a solution for you though

It opened on MuseScore 1.0 - Mac 10.6.7.
It does open on MuseScore 2.0 nightly build (4156) - Mac 10.4.11. Just not 1.0 (said it was too old).
Oh well :).
As a performer I would be lost after the very last repeat bar. Where should I go ? If it's at the beginning, I would use a Coda. If not, a repeat barline is missing. According to this version : http://musescore.org/en/node/5199 a repeat line is missing between measure 75 and 76.

Thank you so much. There was indeed a repeat missing at bar 76. I am embarrassed to have missed it.
But I have learned a lesson: even one incorrect or missing repeat much later in the piece can adversely affect other (and earlier) repeats. My repeat problems in playback started occurring very near the beginning of the piece. I finally gave up and turned the repeats off. It didn’t occur to me to check the ENTIRE piece for repeat mistakes.
Thanks again.

This thread has also helped me. I've been having playback of repeats problems with an SATB piece I've been transcribing from landscape to portrait so it will fit in my file. It has lots of repeats and jumping back to refrains in between each section. Apart from adding in the refrains to avoid the jumping back I was sticking faithfully to the original, but playback was going haywire right at the beginning of the piece. After reading the above, I found that right at the end of the piece the original had a rogue repeat at the beginning of one section with no corresponding one at the end. Removing this repeat mark has solved the problem. Thanks.
In MuseScore 2.0 nightly build (4172) - Mac 10.6.7:
1) There's beam issues (bars: 1, 3 and 4).
2) When the repeat plays - the blue strip stops at the last note (the notes heads still appear blue when being played, though).

#10261: [Trunk] Blue strip doesn't function during repeated sections
Could someone address the beam issue please? I'm not sure what the cause is.
This is a really basic question from a relative novice in Musescore. I'm setting up a score which has a one-crochet anacrusis (pick-up) before the first full bar, and a repeat after the third crochet beat of the fourth full bar. When I insert the repeat bar line Musescore places it at the end of the bar. How can I move the repeat back one crochet beat, please?

You can, not directly. You'd need to insert a measure, modify one measure to have only 3 beats and the other to have only one, then you can place the repeat bar line

Hmmm! Ok, I'll give it a go. Thanks for your help!
