articulation that have horizontal offset gets misaligned when explode

• Apr 4, 2017 - 11:46

If I take the attached:

before-explode.png

And explode, the result is:

after-explode.png

But the fermatas aren't lined up for the bottom two notes. Their horizontal offsets are changed to be different from what it was originally.

I'm thinking that if explode, should zero the horizontal offsets for the newly-created articulations.

because of: fermata's position already changed, in attached score. (H:-0.21 V:0.15)

before expanding, open inspector (F8) and reset to original position (horizontal and vertical)

O.K. (It is not completely clear in the first question. The first question seemed to be asking for help.)

May be something like this, is better:

Suggestion:
If there is an articulation on the exploded notes, and the position values of this articulation have been previously changed; the position value of the newly created articulations must be set to "default".

The problem is that the resulting offsets are not consistently applied. I would be ok if the original offset was +X from the initial chordrest and then the resulting offset was +X for every newly created articulation. But the new offset seems to be somehow additionally offset based on how that note was appearing in the original chord...notice how the bottom A# and G# have their fermata much further right than the top two notes do.
