I don't seem to have the font required for printed output
Hi. I'm new to Musescore and have a question:
My score looks fine on the screen but when I go to print the note symbols have been substituted with different characters. I guess I need the right font but I saw somewhere that the fonts used by MuseScore are embedded in the binary. What do I need to do?
TIA
Ross

What OS, what version of UseScore? See Known incompatibilities . I gather there is a problem on MacOS whee a corrupt font on your system can cause problems.

Hi Marc, thanks for replying. I might be wasting your time I'm running Win XP SP3, version of MS is 1.3.5072. The manuscript opens and looks fine on screen, but I thought I would do a test print. I printed it to FinePrint PDF writer and then opened the PDF it generated. It looked like this:
however the file is fine if I print it to a HP LaserJet 1200 printer. I guess Fineprint might have some font settings I need to play with.
Best regards,
Ross

Save as PDF in MuseScore and have a look at that

Perfect. Did the trick. Save as PDF is so useful (I hadn't seen it buried among the various other save as.. formats) it should really be a speed button right next to the print button IMHO.
Thanks JoJo,
Ross
