Key Signature option
Hello All
I have an additional opportunity or option for the Key Signature section.
I will try to explain. If I write something in C major I don't need any of sharps and flats.
But if I want to transpose composition to a C dorian I need all B in the composition convert to Bb and all E convert to Eb.
OK. I could simply change the Key signature from C maj to Bb maj, but when I do that, as you know, all B still remain B and all E still remain E.
Ok, my question/suggestion: Is there any hidden command for change key signatures from C Maj to Bb Maj with a result: all B convert to Bb and all E to Eb? Because I couldn't find it and logically this makes sense to me.
Thanks
Maro

Welcome to MuseScore, Maro! You'll find the Transpose controls under the Notes menu. An overview is at https://musescore.org/en/handbook/transposition.

I don't think Maro wants to transpose his example (as into A flat or whatever). He wants to be able to add the B flat Major signature and have Musescore change the b and e to b flat and e flat such that it SOUNDS like his second example but has no accidentals at all (except in the signature).
And no, I am quite sure such a feature does not exist. When you change the key signature on music already written MS will add accidentals in order to keep the music sounding exactly as it did under the previous key signature.
BTW if you indeed want to have a piece in C Dorian you may signal this intent better by writing it as in your middle example than with a B flat signature which will make people believe it is B flat Major (or g minor--but in this case there are no F# that you would generally expect) while you want it to be C Dorian.

I stand by my reference to the Transpose dialog. Select all, transpose by key to Bb Major; then, transpose diatonically up a second.

Actually, it's not hard to do this. Ctrl+Alt (? Or maybe shift) plus up or down tranposes a selection diatonically. There is also a diatonic transposition in Notes / Transpose.

Yes, I tried the simple trick with alt+shift+up or down (transpose diatonically) and works fine. Certainly it's better than manually change note by note.
Thanks to all for help!
MS Rules
It seems for me, regardless of what type of transposition I try, it always seems to transpose key signature and oral pitches by a different interval, even across multiple parts. Ie. I had a Big Band tune in Eb, with some harmony outside the key signature (chromaticism and such). When I tried to transpose the key from Eb to Bb, it would shift Rhythm section into G Minor (Not a huge deal obviously), and Brass into C natural (A natural accidentals), all with the key signature of Bb, maintaining the melodic intervals, but inconsistently transposing across the score.

Attach your untransposed score to tell us what you are trying to do with it and we'll do it and tell you how to do it also.
