Worked on a score last night. Opened the application tonight and the drafting screen is black with the notes represented as white and red circules on the black field.
In order to help. we would need more information - in particular, what version of MuseScore, what OS. Probably either your preferences got messed up or you had an OS update that is not compatible with your version of MuseScore. First try Help / Revert to Factory Settings. Also do Help / Check for Update to be sure you have the most recent. Unless you really using an experimental nightly build of 2.2. In any case, please let us know.

Also it will be useful if you attach the actual score, not a pdf of the score so it can be examined.
Thank you for the rapid response! You were correct. It was the version... it needed an update. Yes, I accidentally selected 2.2-dev as the version.
