When play back, no matter which soundfont I use, if the gain of the playback panel is set to 0dB, noise can be heard. Even when the gain is set to be greater than -40dB, noise can be heard.
Every score I play can generate noise. When exported to .flac files, it will not cause noise. But playback can cause noise. The attached file is a simple score.

An 0db this is to be expected, not so at -40db though, that's why that is the default

So if the gain is larger, can the noise be get rid of? Usually I need the volume greater.
Turn the knob on your amplifier/speaker/OS control panel.
overloading the MuseScore synthesizer will create clipping and such extra noises
