Opening MS after the installing MidiDrumLine is ridiculously slow
Hi there,
I've installed the MDL on the latest MS (2.3.1) and now opening the program is very slow. It's a reproducible behaviour on two machine, MacPro (Yosemite) and MacBookPro (ElCapitan).
Any idea?

Thanks Shoichi,
apparently I'm fine with minimum OS, RAM amount and every other requirements but it still takes forever. Uninstalling MDL it revert it to the usual opening time. Until this loading slowness get fixed it won't be bad to show a gauge or similar, just to let the user know that something is happening and the app didn't crashed.

Just another question: do you meet the recommended specs? Minimum specs normally only guarantees the program to run, with no promises about the speed. Recommended specs should be enough to run it at a reasonable speed. But this slow loading times is a known problem with MDL, even on powerful systems.

My main working machine is a MacPro5,1 - 12cores 3.3Ghz, with 64gb of RAM running MacOS Yosemite on a 512Gb Samsung SSD.
My secondary machine is a MacBookPro8,2 - i7 2.4Ghz with 16Gb of RAM running MacOS ElCapitan on a 1Tb Samsung SSD.
The slowness is from the soundfonts - all that realism takes space, memory, and time to process :-). So, one thing you can do while developing a score is to remove the soundfonts (View / Synthesizer) but keep the extension installed. The MuseScore will start up as quickly as ever. You won't get sound on the MDL instruments, but you can add the soundfonts back (same window) when you need them.
