Starting bar numbering from a number other than 1
I assume that this currently is not possible as I cannot find a way to do it, but it would be handy. As an example I wish to remove the long piano intro on a piece for the singers for training purposes but this means all the bar/measure numbers have changed from the original score.
In the particular case I am thinking about I would like to be able to start bar numbering from 12 instead of 1 and then the numbers would be correct against the original.

Of course this is possible. Right-click into the first measure, measure properties, add to measure number, 11

Thank you and my apologies! So many things that can be changed in MuseScore it is difficult sometimes to know where to change what and I did not find that instruction in the online help. OK I shall claim a senior moment as my excuse!! Thanks again.

People post here all the time that they are amazed that MuseScore can do what they want. Sometimes it's straight forward like the measure number, other times it takes putting a few features together. No one should ever be afraid to ask.
