Problem entering drum parts.
I’m having a problem entering drum notation. I’ve entered a bass drum on beat one. When I try to enter a snare on the 3rd quaver it puts it directly above the bass drum on beat one no matter where I hold the mouse cursor preventing me from putting it in the position of the third quaver. (see pic) What am I doing wrong?

Thanks again. I now realise you have to complete a bar for each drum before you can add a different type of drum.

You don't have to complete a bar for each drum, you can add drums a note at time in pretty much any order, so long as you work left to right for each drum. You can't enter a snare on beat 2& until you've first entered the quarter rest and eighth rest that are necessary in order for the person reading the part to understand that note comes in on 2&.
So, it totally works to enter the bass note first, then switch back to voice 1, enter the two rests, then the snare drum note - all without completing the bar.
