Deleting instruments from template and adding multiple articulations
Hi everyone. I have two questions
-
I have made a template for a brass band, because it takes a lot of time everytime to define some instruments, e.g. Eb Tuba isn't a standard instrument. However, right now I'm making a score for our conductor, and I don't need all the instruments. So, how do I delete the instruments that I don't need?

When transcribing, is it possible to mark a number of notes and then add e.g. staccato to all of them in one move, or do I have to add it one by one?
Comments
Press i to open the instruments dialog, select an instrument and click remove. Then click OK after all the instruments are removed.
Select a group of notes any way you like and press shift+s. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/selection-modes if you need more info.

Also, while Shift+S is indeed the shortcut for staccato, you aren't limited to symbols that have shortcuts. Once you've selected the notes you want, you can double-click pretty much any palette symbol to apply it to all the notes in the selection.
