Instrument Names
In creating a score with multiple instruments, sometimes it shows all instruments on all staves throughout the score, and sometimes only shows instrument names on the first staff. What am I missing?

In 1st system it shows the long instument name, on subsequent ones the short instrument name. Both can get set independant of one another via staff properties.
Long instruments show again mid score after a section break.

The instrument name shows only on the first staff, like the Flute, but not the oboe, Horn, and violins?
You need to attach your score.

On some scores, it does show long instrument names on first system, and on subsequent ones it shows short instrument name, as I definitely prefer. Some scores, however, only shows long instrument names on first system, and never displays short instrument names. You mention setting via "staff properties", but I have not figured out how to do that.

right-click into an empty spot in a staff, select staff properties
