Musescore Keeps Crashing

• Jan 23, 2019 - 01:53

I have created a new score to rescore a project I have been working on. I am trying to redo the part and staff properties to fit the original score layout, for the most part, and I can't click on a part name without it crashing. This is infuriating because I have to do this as soon as I can and many times. If I am unable to do this, it would be detrimental to the rehearsals. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Somehow I got it to work by saving directly after I did something. But to recreate, I was formatting a score. I chose the symphonic orchestra as a preset. I chose the key as g major/e minor. I would go to the instruments, remove bassoon 2, oboe, snare drum, and bass drum. I would add the bass clarinet, and the three main saxophones, along with a drumset and chimes to use as percussion parts. I would redo the barlines to correctly go to the next staff. I would also redo some brackets adding it to the new percussion parts and saxophones. The score order would then be, Flute 1, flute 2, Oboe 1, Bb Clarinet 1, Bb Clarinet 2, Bass Clarinet, Basson 1 - New bracket - Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone - New bracket - Horn 1 & 3, Horn 2 & 4, Bb Trumpet 1, Bb Trumpet 2, Trombone 1, Trombone, 2, Tuba - New bracket - Drumset, Cymbals, Chimes - New bracket - Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Violoncello, and Contrabass. At any point redoing the barlines, adding the instruments, or going to rename the current list, the program would crash.
