Import sheet music into Musescore to transpose

• Jan 25, 2019 - 04:23

The title says it all.
This is my goal.

My piece is in Bb. I would like to transpose the sheet into D and not have to enter all the notes into Musescore.
Is there an easy way to do this?
Thanks!

Thanks Mike.
So I did the import and got two Musescore files (pages) as a result.
Wouldn't load in my 2.1 desktop version.
Said the files were a newer version than my 2.1 supports.

So I download V 3.1
Then I try to install.
My desktop (WInXP) says Musescore doesn't like my CPU.

So I move to my new notebook with Win 8.1
Same story, Win 8.1 says Musescore doesn't like my CPU.
So I can't even load the files into Musescore yet.

Any ideas why Musescore won't upgrade?

Thanks for helping out Shoichi!
I had downloaded the 64 bit version, that's why it wouldn't install on either computer.
I downloaded the 32 bit version and got it to install on both BUT,
It only runs on the Win 8.1 notebook!
When I click on the MuseScore3.exe in WinXP, it says error executing program.
I guess it doesn't work with XP.

Anyway, on my notebook I could open the two files, despite the errors.
I will see how far I can get with the process.
It did transpose into D, but there were errors with some notes.
