Color all flat and/or sharp notes
I have to jest a little bit (nothing against the developers of this plugin!): There is a very useless plugin for me to color all note heads :D
After I wrote some music, and want to learn to play it, then I want to color all flat (or all sharp) notes and was happy as I find a "color notes" plugin, but it doesn't change what I want, instead it gives many notes different colors.
So it's easier to learn playing a complex piece or music.
So I request a feature or plugin that further colors all flat and/or sharp notes with a specified color
With best regards,
Sven

Boomwakers and handbells for children often use a different color for each note of the scale. That is the purpose of the plugin.

OK, that I didn't know. Thanks, now I'm a bit smarter.
BTW, at the moment is there aroung a plugin what does what I need?

No plugin yet. But it's not too hard to make one. If you can program check the Note Object and modify the plugin by yourself.

Hi,
yes, right, I should try to program it myself if I'm motivated enough :-)

You can also color the flat and sharp notes manually if you don't want/know how to make a plugin. You can click on the first note you want colored, then hold control and click the other notes you want a specific color. When you've got them all selected, hold control and right-click on one of the notes, and there is a "Color" option in the popup menu. You can choose the color you want, and all the notes selected will be converted to that color. If the piece is long and you want to color lots of notes with lots of different colors, this can be a tedious process, but it will give you the results you want.

Thanks, I know that. But this sheet here is *very* complex and I'm extremely tired only with manually moving fingering-numbers to the top of the note-heads..

If it's enough to color the accidentals itself, you can right click on a sharp, Select->Similar elements. Then right click on the sharp again -> Color -> Pick a color. Just do the same for flats and you are set.

My main goal is to mark all notes that would be sharp (or flat) in the key signature.

The attached plugin will color in red (but you can change it in the code) all notes that are not pure C, D, E ... B. So if the note is in the key signature or has an accidental, it will be colored.

Thanks very much!
Since i programmed as a maniac for my diploma thesis, I'm glad that you make this work for me :-)
I did minor modifications (set staff == 0) and all is right for me. THANKS!
BTW.
Hmm.... not good. A second time after login your answer wasn't commented right by me. I marked these two posts as spam and can be deleted (see below).

I developed the "Color Half Steps" plugin for exactly that purpose. Please see: http://musescore.org/en/project/colorhalfsteps

Really, THANK YOU
thank you very much
maybe could you set it to color each different sharp/flat note in a different color ?
I mean, every F# are red, every C# are blue...

Something like that. Right click on a note->Select->More
Then open Inspector and set the colour (it will work only for notes)

Does this work for MuseScore 4? I cannot find out how to do it. I do not even see Inspector.

@harrisselph , Mu4: Inspector is replaced by Properties (F8)
