Add instrument name to left of staff
I deleted the default names but would like to add different ones. (Should have just changed them, I know.)

Right click on the staff->staff properties... and insert it into the "instrument name" field.

Long name is for the beginning of the score (first system), short name is for subsequent systems.

Choose Format->Style...->Score and deselect "hide instrument name if there is only 1 instrument".
