All Instruments Playback As Piano!
Does anyone else have the problem where your composition plays back as just piano, even if the instruments are not piano? I wrote part of an orchestral piece, but when I updated Musescore, everything played back as piano. Can someone help me fix it?

I have also had this problem since I updated Musescore to the most recent version (3.0.3) and the only way I have been able to fix it is to open the Mixer and reset every part to the correct instrument patch. Even if it already says it is the right instrument, I still have to go back in and reset it. In addition, it no matter how many times I reset the patches and save the file, the next time I open Musescore, everything will be back to piano and I have to reset them again.

The symptoms you describe are well known. A fix is expected early next week.

I'm running Musescore 3.6.2.548020600 on Mac OS-Catalina with the same problem... two years after this thread was posted. The solution to this problem would be welcome.

Probably your score was configured to use a different soudnfont than the one you currently have loaded. In order to do more than guess about that, we'd need you to attach your score and tell us what soundfonts you have loaded in View / Synthesizer.
