Creating 4 bars per line
Greetings from Brisbane, Australia I'm new to MuseScore and have downloaded MuseScore 3.05 and I'm very impressed. I will mainly use it for lead sheet purposes but I'm baffled about one aspect of the format.
I want just 4 bars per line (excluding pickup notes) but all of the tutorials I've seen are for the early versions of MuseScore. Can someone please tell me in simple language how I can format just 4 bars per line please? Any help would be appreciated.

Nope, this does not exist on Musescore 3.2.4.

Of course it does. But MuseScore 3.2.4 does not exist

Doesn't work in 3.6.2. I select all, do exactly what it says - and it has no effect whatsoever.
None of the page settings seem to work either. The stave spacing on page 1 is narrower than on page 2, but I can find no way to make them the same.
Any suggestions?

Looks like there are no existing explicit system breaks in your score, so none to remove by that dialog either.
Breaking a system in MuseScore is as simple as that: Select a bar and hit "ENTER".
The Menue is missing this simple command, which can be misleading for new users.

The Breaks & Spacers palette though contains them

Yeah, true.

In general; the palette is how you add things to your score - there are not menu commands corresponding to each and every palette item, nor should there be. Conceivably the "Layout" elements could be considered worth making exceptions for, since they are not ordinary markings, and people might not think to go to the palette for them.
The menu does contain the Add/Remove System Breaks command.
