Creating 4 bars per line

• Mar 28, 2019 - 07:41

Greetings from Brisbane, Australia I'm new to MuseScore and have downloaded MuseScore 3.05 and I'm very impressed. I will mainly use it for lead sheet purposes but I'm baffled about one aspect of the format.
I want just 4 bars per line (excluding pickup notes) but all of the tutorials I've seen are for the early versions of MuseScore. Can someone please tell me in simple language how I can format just 4 bars per line please? Any help would be appreciated.

Breaking a system in MuseScore is as simple as that: Select a bar and hit "ENTER".
The Menue is missing this simple command, which can be misleading for new users.

In general; the palette is how you add things to your score - there are not menu commands corresponding to each and every palette item, nor should there be. Conceivably the "Layout" elements could be considered worth making exceptions for, since they are not ordinary markings, and people might not think to go to the palette for them.

The menu does contain the Add/Remove System Breaks command.
