I am using the newest release… the char for cello thumb postition (1) is too small and (2) doesn't "grow" with spatium.
As a Workaround, I suggest the unicode-char ǫ (01EB).
It is also not possible to assign a keyboard shortcut since it is not on any keyboard and MuseScore doens't recognize unicode input (in this case "01eb ".
No workaround for that, or you use a "q"...

It works for me in 3.0.5 as well as 3.1 beta. Can you please post a score you are experiencing this with, and precise steps to reproduce the problem?

Again, I cannot reproduce (current release 3.0.5 or a build from "master"), can you please attach the score you are having trouble with?
