Changing System Measure Numbers
Is there any way to change a measure number globally? I mean, with the "add to measure number" option in the Measure Properties, it seems that only the measure number displayed on the score changes, not the internal representation of the measure number as indicated by the bar all the way on the bottom of the screen.

There is no way to change the internal measure numbering, and there can't be.

The status bar shows the true internal measure number, which is needed so each measure can be uniquely referenced. But it would indeed be useful if the status bar showed both numbers.

And there is a PR pending for this, see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/5071, to fix #288968: Include both correlative and user-defined measure number in status bar
Further to this, it would also be useful to be able to search for a user defined measure number, as opposed to only the internally recognized one. It gets confusing at times.
