On the dark theme of the 3.3 beta, the text of Palettes is still black on dark theme and thus extremely unappealing. I am on Ubuntu 18.04 64 bit using the Appimage. I had previously switched to the dark theme on the stable branch of Musescore.

Confirmed and indeed that had been brought up before in the forum and/or the developers' chat
I really want to change this to critical but I fear that others may disagree :P
Anyway is there any fix taken place?

Yes, there have been even more palette fixes in the upcoming RC, as well as a few dark them fixes
