how to change thickness of the staff lines
Hello, I am new to this forum, and I apologize if this was answered before but I cannot find a way to change the thickness of the staff lines. My problem is that when I export the score to pdf, the staff will kind of look poorly when printed (some lines are faded, others are thicker) and I want to somehow make the lines thicker, assuming that this will improve the pdf look. Or, if there is another way, please let me know.

Hmm, you shouldn't be needing the do this - the PDF should already be very high quaity. Are you using File / Export, or trying to use a third-party PDF printer? Those won't work so well. Also be sure you have a recent version of MuseScore (3.1 was just released yesterday).
Or it could be your PDF printing program jyust doing a poor job. If your PDF was exported from MuseScore, feel free to attach it here so others can test.

Hi Marc, you were right, if I export the pdf everything comes ok; I was actually printing it to different pdf printers (like bullzip pdf or pdf995), thank you very much, I apologize I didn't answer earlier. Also thank you Jojo-Schimtz for you reply, it is good to know where that setting is.

I export my scores to pdf for printing; it is a high spec Epson machine, but unfortunately the staff lines do often vary in thickness and sometimes almost disappear, despite trying options such as greyscale on/off.

I don't see the option that the first contributor mentions - Format - Style- Measure does not exist ?!

Hmm, maybe try using a different program to print the PDF? Or see if it has anti-aliasing options you need to change? The PDF should have perfectly consistent staff lines. Try viewing it onscreen at high magnification if in doubt. Feel free to attach it here if you continue to have trouble.
FWIW, “Measure” is about a quarter of the way down the list under Format / Style. But thickening the staff lines shouldn’t be necessary, and probably won’t look good if your actual problem is with the anti-aliaising in the program you use to print PDF’s. I do recall one other person having a similar issue with his PDF viewer and finding the right option to fix it, but I’m fuzzy on the details.

Maybe, but I think that is about the draw anti-aliased setting within MuseScore, which affects only display within MuseScore. For PDF, you need to find a similar setting the program you use to view the PDF with.
