How to slur/tie into a second ending?

• Dec 9, 2019 - 07:58

Hi! A score I'm entering requires ties and slurs from the last note before the first ending to the first notes of both the first and second endings: obviously, there's no difficulty tying/slurring across the bar line at the beginning of the first ending, but how does one notate the ties/slurs at the beginning of the second ending (I'm primarily interested in it being notated correctly; performed correctly would be "just gravy")? In particular, how does one do this if there's only one note at the beginning of the second ending? (I figured out that when there's more than one note in the slur in the endings, I can slur across the multiple notes in the second ending, and then grab and drag the left end of the slur to the left of the first note in the ending; but if there's only one note ending the slur at the beginning of the second ending, I can't figure out how to enter a slur over just one note to use that same "workaround.") Thanks!
