Did you try renaming the TEMP file to remove the temp and end in MSCZ instead?

I do not know if it is the same for him, sometimes on Linux a hasty closure of MuseScore, before having saved the score, generates a *.temp file. It is not possible to delete it (path not found/file moved). Renaming the file is not allowed (only a double extension appears. e.g.: *.temp.mscz). You can reopen it, save it again and then the extension becomes *.mscz.

Thank you so much! I had been struggling for hours however the problem was solved by simply removing TEMP.
