Orchestral Cello parts connected by bracket.
I recently scored some pieces for Voice and Piano for full orchestra. It was my first attempt at it, and I think I did pretty well with Musescore!
However, I never could work out how to score the divided cello parts as the conductor requested: He wanted the two cello staves connected with a bracket. I attempted this a number of times, creating a Violoncello 1 and 2 parts separately, but could never get them together with brackets so that they could both be printed on the same page for the players. I'm sure there is a way, but I have failed to find it or create it intuitively still. Can you tell me if this can be done, and if so, how?

Being connected by a bracket and being able to print on one sheet is not related to one another.
For bracket see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/brackets
For making 2 cellos into one part see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/parts#Add_instruments_to_a_part

Jojo,
I'm sorry, but you will have to show me how it is done with very specific instructions, as I have tried this a dozen times, and I still am not getting the product I need. I have created the bracketed cello parts now, but please tell me how they are named (as selected) and appear as ONE part that can be printed as such with both parts on the player's copy. (Currently, I have them named individually as Violoncello 1 and Violoncello 2, and they definitely only print separately that way.)

(Manually, i.e. not using the "All Parts" button) create a part that contains both instruments.
More help only if you share the score...

Never mind… I just discovered that there was an earlier missed step that I was omitting which was causing my difficulty. It is all solved on the Instruments tab with a button named "Add linked staff." That handled the whole "problem."
Thank you anyway for your interest and help.

That pretty surly is the wrong way.
From the full score delete the other Instruments (or make them invisible), save under another name, print.

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried this -- and it worked -- except now it is tiny on the page. How do I increase the size to be readable to the average musician? Ron Hill

@Ron, if it may be useful to you (as per Jojo's link)

Linked staff, as you have likely discovered by now, is not what you want. It makes the new staff a literal copy of the original - every note on the one gets duplicated on the other. Not what you want at all.

Right. So what DO I want? Snowy_Night.mscz I was disappointed. But how can I join these parts so that both Cello 1 and Cello 2 appear on the same printed page? This is evidently quite typical in the string world. I have tried NUMEROUS times using "Parts" to create a Violoncello part that contains both Cello 1 and Cello 2. Even though the instructions sound simple, I have not been able to get a result. I'm on the latest version. HELP!!!

Did you attach the right score? This one doesn't appear to have any cellos.
But if I understand the question correct, go to File / Parts, click Single Part, then double-click each of the instruments you want (or click once then click the "+" button).

Marc,
Thank you so much! You are the man! Haha. Why doesn't the Handbook state it just as you did?! That would have given me the result weeks ago. Sorry I gave you the wrong file, but you understood what I was going for.
Once again, thank you.

I told you above, by pointing you at the handbook with does say the very same thing as Marc just did

Jo-Jo,
Thanks to you as well. Sometimes documentation just does not communicate to me.
