I think it would be useful if you were hover over the previewed page on the navigator, the bar (52-70) and page numbers (4/14) appeared simultaneously.

We are currently at MuseScore 2.0 nightly build (4200/4202).

Comments

Page numbers now show - maybe a preference could be set if you want to see bar numbers too :).

Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (4669) - Mac 10.6.8.

Is measure numbers really interesting ? Why not...
But no preferences please, there are already enough preferences and we should be careful in adding new ones.

If you change the page number so the score don't start with page 1, then the page number displayed in the navigator is still the real page #, not the user-assigned page #. Having both, real page first, assigned second, might be more useful.

I'm still of the mind that the new section breaks in MS 2.0 and changing page numbers from the defaults will cause more issues. Showing bar numbers per page doesn't seem useful as they can also be manually changed and restarted per section, and so are much more transient.

(Also, nothing shows when I hover over a page in the navigator... am I missing something? Perhaps the title should be changed to reflect this as either a proper feature request or what the feature really does.)

It was just my idea initially (before numbered pages in the navigator was introduced) to hover over it with the mouse and the number appear - I think I'm happy with the current behaviour.

I'll just close it as I don't think I want bar numbers now.
