Importing xml from Sibelius

• Apr 13, 2016 - 12:52

I found an error in Sibelius when it exports xml. When you have a large file
there are errors in the xml. Sibelius doesn't alter enharmonic pitches
accurately, especially in the same bar. I was converting some of my clarinet
scores and I noticed that they we're not importing correctly into musescore,
the first E# was correct. When the same pitch in the same measure supposed to
be E#, it appeared as Eb. The export put the line for the first E#
and not the second. I downloaded the Make music plug-in for Silbelius and it
exported correctly. Still folks when importing, review every detail that was imported into mussescre or any program.

I really like Musescore and look forward to many more good things from the
application (application). Maybe you can create and note imputing application
that works with Android and exports into Musescore.

I don't know where to post this. I hope this helps others and cautions others
to watch their imported files from xml.

Best regards,
Hadley Hazen

PS: I will just keep inporting my old Sibelius files. This program is simple
and easier than Sibelius.
