Single staff to multiple staves and back
Because I have troubles reading a handwritten score for cello, I decided to rewrite the score in MuseScore2. When I created a new document, I just needed one set of staves, but now there are 5 bars that are written out in a set of 3 staves (divisi a 3).
I know I can add other instruments to the score to create 2 more staves underneath the standard single one, but that applies to the entire score. How can I split out the single staff into 3 staves for 5 bars, and then return to the single staff when it's unisono again?

Welcome! Go ahead and create the two extra staves and enter the notes. When you're done, go up the Style menu, choose "General…", and check the box for "Hide empty staves."

Thanks! It worked. I assumed it was a tickbox issue somewhere, but wasn't able to figure it out. Anyway, things are progressing now.
