To reproduce problem (Windows 7):
1. Open a previously saved score
2. Press the "N" key or click on the "N" button in the toolbar to enter "Note Entry Mode"
3. Program crashes. Reads: msscore.exe has stopped working.
Maybe this matters too: I changed the name of the instrument by right clicking the first measure and selecting "Staff Properties"
After doing this, it crashes when I reopen the file and go into note entry mode. Also, playback does not work. I just want to change the text of the instrument in front of the staff....please help!

Confirmed - Mac 10.4.11.
I exported as XML, opened it, deleted the breaks and saved as MSCZ. Seems to be fine :).

I can't reproduce the crash with branch. So I guess it's solved for 1.1
The file must be corrupt (don't know how), but in the nightly build when I click N, the drum palette opens.
What should we do?
