How to put fret numbers in guitar tab - newbie
I have just started with Musescore. I am writing notation and tab for guitar. However, having read the manual VERY closely I simply cannot find out how to include fret numbers/positions in the tab. What am I missing. I though fret positions were added automatically when I inserted the actual note in the notation section. Many thanks. By enter the numbers via the alphanumeric keyboard (higher row), not via the numeric keyboard (associated to the change note values). And by using direction arrows to navigate.

Very many thanks. When I click on a "string" the number "0" shows. How do I identify the string to which to add the fret number. Again, many thanks, Brian

I presume you are using the mouse (number "0" by default). Not the best manner, but you can overwrite this default by typing the correct number via the alphanumeric keyboard, as said.
To identify the string: with the mouse (exactly as a the standard staff), or by using the arrows Down or Up.
