Moving all note from top staff to bottom and delete the top staff

Hi,

Referring to the photo, the top two staff (brackets) in the paper is located at the bottom two staff (brace).

I would like very much to move the entire note, etc. in the top two staff to bottom two staff. Is there a short cut to these?

In the paper score, there are only brace staff. If possible I want to delete the empty staff. How do I delete only those two bracketed staff?

Thank you.

p/s: no music background. description might be a little off.

Comments

click 1st measure in top staff, shift+click last measure in 2nd staff, Ctrl+X, select 1st measure in 3rd staff, Ctrl+V
Now press I, then delete the top Instrument(s).

I do wonder however, how you managed the bottom staves to not have a key- or time signature?

More background would help. Is this meant to be solo piano music? If so, why not simply delete the bottom two staves, and changed the bracket to a brace for the top staves? That would be easier and more effective, and you wouldn't have top worry about why there is no key or time signature on the bottom staves. Can you post the actual score and explain more about what you are trying to do.

OK, I see, this is not a solo piano score but chorus with piano accompaniment. So do you have any idea what went wrong to cause the key and time signature to disappear from the bottom two staves? This shouldn't have happened. You should add them back before doing anything else. And then do the copy and paste as suggested above.

It support to be empty on the bracket staff. When I created first I didn't include the bracket and brace. Then I added it in. Now I want the note, etc. in the bracket staff to go to the brace staff. I have successful moving the note, etc. to the brace staff. Following as the paper score is.

Since the bracket staff is empty, I want to delete it from the musescore. If I remove the first one, then the rest of the staff (same row) will be deleted as well.

Is there a way just to delete the empty staff?

I don't understand what you want to achieve. However, I've fixed the missing key- and timesig, cut/paste the notes and hidden the now empty staves.
However, you should have better used the closed score SATB + Piano template. Both attached
