Nothing works. Complete removal and reinstallation does not change anything.

Hi,

when I open Musescore, I see File, Edit and Help, while the rest of menus in the bar are gray and do not open. When I try to load a file, the Load Score window is empty... Basically, nothing works.

I don't know if I did something wrong at any time with the configuration. The thing is that I reinstall musescore and the same happens once and again. Even after doing complete removal. Other similar programs (as Rosegarden) work well.

I have Ubuntu 10.04 with Kernel Linux 2.6.32-33-generic and Musescore 1.0 revision 3996.

What should I do?

OK, I solved it (I guess).

I started "musescore -s" (which means, without internal synthesizer). It started normally. I went to edit-preferences-I/O, unclicked Portaudio (so that only "Use internal synthesizer" and "ALSA Audio" are clicked), restarted musescore and now everything looks fine.
