Copy, Paste over 2 clef Piano Staff

Hello all.

I have written a chord, 6 voices over the 2 staff piano staff. Okay.
Then, copy both staves at once, and paste.
Since it's too long a duration for the place I am pasting it in the bar, I go and delete the notes and tie lines, one by one. Crash.

I tried deleting all the extra notes at once. Crash.

It may be because I'm copying 2 staves at a time??

Also, the bar with the tied notes has rest artifacts that have no relationship to the bar. In the past when I have had this occurrance, I have moved everthing over 1 bar by adding a measure and deleted the offending bar. This seemed to work.
