AltGr-SPACE (for _) doesn't trigger melisma in lyrics
At least 2 keyboards. the french BÉPO ones, code UNDERSCORE by AltGr-SPACE, see https://bepo.fr/wiki/Accueil
However, this typing in lyrics mode reacts as a simple SPACE (at least in my 16.04 Ubuntu...perhaps a Ubuntu specific problem, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/do/+bug/379575.)
I workaround it by switching AltGr-SPACE and AltGr [alpha key for 8] in the configuration file of the keyboard.

I try to fix this in 4f8a845d8b
You can download a nightly appimage here https://bintray.com/musescore/nightlies-linux/MuseScoreNightly-master-x…
always true in a6ec8aa
The glyph associated to the key AltGr SPACE, be it _ or − , when in lyrics function is not recognised, and deliver a space.
4f8a845d8b (the commit with the fix) is from August, a6ec8aa is from February, that's why it isn't working in the latter
thanks
...I'm unable to find the last appimage for Ubuntu 16.04 64.........
where is it ?
What's wrong with the link in #1?
Other than that you get them from https://musescore.org/en/download#Nightly-versions, under "x86 64-bit any Linux"
#1 link goes to the specified version, is it the last one? you can't know
the nightly-version link (thanks) just allowed me to run f6ce46e
for which the problem is always true
The glyph associated to the key AltGr SPACE, be it _ or − , when in lyrics function is not recognised, and deliver a space.
So either lasconic's fix didn't work or it broke again. Without you testing the link from #1 we'll never know ;-)
