How to remove articulations/slurs

• Sep 19, 2011 - 05:26

I can't find any instructions on how to remove articulations and slurs after creating them. So if I realize that I've entered them incorrectly or I want to change something, I am stuck.

On a Mac, you just need to press delete (a.k.a. backspace) while holding the fn key, which is down at the bottom left of the keyboard next to control. This mimics the behavior of the traditional "del" key.

Using 1.3on Windows. I had a tie, added a slur leading into the tie, tie disappeared. I'd like them both, but need the tie worse, so can I just delete the slur? When I select, I get the little squares, one is solid, but delete or edit>delete, right click>delete isn't working.

The issue of having both a slur and a tie on the same note is unrelated to this very old thread, you should really start new threads for this. It is certainly possible to have a slur and a tie together, so if you start a new thread to ask about the problem you are having, please describe *exactly* what you are doing (step by step) and we can tell you where it's going wrong.

But as for deleting a marking, don't double click - just single click. The handles appear only when double clicking.
